Today we took pictures for out magazine and poster for our thriller trailer. We first looked at some examples of thriller posters such as Halloween remake where the main character Michael Myers is standing to the side holding a knife. We decided to show the 2 criminals in the same position holding a gun so that the poster connotes that this is a thriller. The way that the characters are represented show that they are powerful and in control. We also looked at The Dark Knight Empire magazine cover where we only see a close up of The Joker our poster because we were trying to find the right angle to connote our trailer. We decided to copy the magazine and do a close up of  the criminals. We took several different shots of each and we picked out a few that we thought represented our trailer the best. We then used www.ribbet.com to edit and create a poster similar to the Halloween Poster that we got our idea from.

Today we had to put the billing block onto our poster. I created the billing block by first putting our names and then putting a real director, writer, producer and editor names in and we picked them from the thriller genre. However, the billing block had to much space between the lines so we had to seperate the lines and put them into text boxes, then overlap the text boxes in order to create a realistic billing block. Then I had to print screen the picture with the billing block on it and edit it in paint so that I could upload the picture to www.ribbet.com so that I could create the poster.

Today we filmed the rest our of trailer. First we had to create a crime scene outside Rachel's house. We created the crime scene by putting crime scene tape around the front garden, and have someone lying under a blood covered sheet. This creates a realistic crime scene that we needed for the beginning of our trailer.
